President & Managing Director
A seasoned professional with a solid track-record of over 30 years in marketing and advertising, Therese together with 7 friends established Images Advertising & Public Relations, Inc. which quickly rose to the top of the advertising scene in Guam in the 80’s, tripling its revenue in a short period, then maintained a steady growth over a 20-year period. Soon after leaving Images, Therese, together with Fred Rodriguez, Cathy Gogue, and Bal Aguon established GreenLight Media Productions in 2009. The agency grew very quickly, and expanded its core services with the addition of GreenLight 25, a television channel on GTA’s digital television network. In 2021, GreenLight Media Productions executed a dba and is now better known as The Greenlight Group.
Operations/Programming Director
An astute project manager for an advertising agency, Fred partnered with Therese in organizing The Greenlight Group. Fred has been a co-host for "Why Do Catholics Do That", a popular 90-minute talk radio program on KOLG The Light, Guam’s only Catholic radio station. Fred produced a 90-minute video thesis as a requirement for his Master’s degree in Theology, which focused on his Grandfather’s knowledge of local herbal healing as a well-known traditional healer in Guam. It is currently archived in the Micronesia Research Center at the University of Guam and has been used as a resource for students.
Director - Client Services
Cathy has an outstanding wealth of experience in brand management, tourism promotions, event planning and public relations, and is well known in the travel industry in Guam and Asia/Pacific. Cathy managed key international markets (Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Micronesia, and the United States) for the Guam Visitors Bureau, launching tourism campaigns and helping organize millions of dollars of media and publicity coverages as well as events. Cathy was formerly the Assistant Director of Communications & Promotions for the Guam Community College.
Director - Special Projects
With a Master’s of Fine Arts degree from the American Film Institute’s Center for Advanced Film and Television Studies (Los Angeles,CA), Bal served as a writer/producer, and co-director for documentaries highlighting Guam’s history and culture. His credits include the screenplay for Måtto I Saina-Ta As Hurao, a short film that was shot on Guam and released in 2007. He served as a co-director for I Tinituhan: Puntan yan Fu’una, a special project funded by Guampedia Inc. that recreates Guam’s creation myth. He also served as an Executive Producer for Prutehi Hao, a youth HIV prevention film funded by the US Centers for Disease Control, and is an associate producer for the documentary, The War in Guam, which was released in 2010. He was also the writer, stage manager, and set designer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 11th South Pacific games; both are archived in the Smithsonian Institute. Bal was also the producer at PBS Guam/KGTF, producing several local programs that continue to be aired on KGTF Channel 12. He is currently secretary of the board for the Pacific Islands in Communication (PIC).
Director - Creative Services
Ariel is an award winning art director with a 40-year track-record in the creative industry. He’s worked for agencies such as Glimpses, Baumann Advertising and Guam Sunzen Publishing to name a few. While at Guam Sunzen, Ariel created and designed Wave, Guam Now and Beach (published in Saipan). All three of these magazines were successful Japanese publications for Sunzen that are very familiar for individuals who grew up in the tourism industry both in Guam and Saipan. Ariel created the Guam Island Guide Map, for which he received the Guam Excellence in Tourism Award in 2000 and 2003. Ariel attended the Academy of Arts College, San Francisco, CA., the California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, CA and The Film School at Half Moon Bay, CA.
Technical Consultant
George is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is an expert in digital wide area networks and transmission and has been designing, implementing and operating IT and communications networks in Guam, Micronesia, Asia and the US for over 40 years. He was instrumental in developing and implementing GTA’s digital television network including a headend, island-wide transmission network and digital subscriber loops. George currently manages major IT and telecommunications infrastructure projects for the federal government on Guam.
